Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and determine the factors that can affect employee performance improvement in finance companies. The research method used is a quantitative approach. Data were analyzed by Partial Least Square (PLS) statistic tool. This research was conducted at PT. Mandiri Tunas Finance Malang Branch and Pasuruan Satellite. The population in this study were all permanent employees, amounting to 82 people. Furthermore, the entire population became the respondents so that this research used the census method in the sample determination. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the factors that can improve employee performance in finance company are motivation, especially motivation that comes from within the employees themselves (intrinsic motivation) and organizational culture, while leadership can influence the improvement of employee performance if mediated by work motivation. Some suggestions that can be put forward to improve employee performance in finance companies are building employee work motivation, by holding special education program for employees in order to get promotion, continuous training, provides a challenging task, and adequate working facilities; Create a good organizational culture so that it can help employees to make it easier to carry out their work; Recruiting employees who have work experience ranging from 5 years with educational background is a bachelor.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal and give meaning to Transformational leadership based on perception by informants in paskibra(Flag hoisting troops) at High School.This study is a qualitative research with case study approach. This study was conducted on the paskibra SMA Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Malang (UM Laboratory School). Informants in this study amounted to ten informants who are in paskibra SMA Laboratorium UM. Data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, interpretative data, and conclusion. The results show that the first proposition is individualized consideration formed by coaching, nurturing, respecting others, and organizational values. In the second proposition is idealized influence formed with confidence, commitment, loyalty, and professional. Next, the third proposition is intellectual stimulation formed by coordination, stimulation, fighting power, work ethic, and support. Furthermore, the fourth proposition is inspirational motivation formed with philosophy, ideas, motivation, vision and mission, and sharing. the fifth proposition of attributed charisma is formed by the soul of leadership, responsible, and communicative. the sixth proposition is that the Organizational Performance of paskibra is reflected by internal performance and external performance. Researchers also found in the process of the formation of components of Transformational leadership through education (learning and experience). Transformational leadership components of each individual or group have the ability to an organizational performance of paskibra can be implemented properly by members. This finding is related to one of the theories of education, namely experience learning and ability theory.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of city image on visitors’ revisit intention at Malang, Indonesia. This study also examines the influence of visitors’ satisfaction on the paths from perceived image to visitors’ revisit intention. This study uses a quantitative explanatory approach. The primary data were obtained using a questionnaire addressed to 180 visitors’ who ever visit Malang for a holiday reason only. Analysis of the data used is Partial Least Square (PLS) with PLS-Path Modelling (PLS-PM) method. The results of this study are: first, visitors’ perceived image about city plays an important role in enhancing visitors’ revisit intention. Second, visitors’ satisfaction directly affects to visitors’ satisfaction. Third, visitors’ satisfaction partially mediated the relationship between city image and visitors’ revisit intention.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of brand awareness and brand associations on brand loyalty. The population of this research is Population in this research is a consumer who shops at hypermarket existing Malang City, which is Carrefour, Giant, and Matahari with sample counted 50 responders. Data analysis in this research used multiple regression. The results show that brand awareness and brand associations affect brand loyalty. In order to increase customer to loyal to hypermarket then management needs to increase awareness and brand association by way of self-expression through promotion and event marketing activity, to create an emotional bond with a brand

Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the influence of clarity of waiting time information and the comfort of waiting room towardssatisfaction through waiting time perception of drug services. Chosen observational analytical study by cross-sectional study was used as methods in this study. Sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. 120 respondents were chosen as study sample among all of the outpatients out of pocket which waiting for drug services on March - April 2017. Path analysis was used as data analysis method. Study result showed that clarity of waiting time information and the comfort of waiting room had a positive and significant influence on waiting time perception and satisfaction awaiting drug services. As of intervening variable, waiting time perception was contributed increasing influence clarity of waiting time information and the comfort of waiting room towardssatisfaction with drug services. The most predominant variable in constructing satisfaction with drug servicesthrough waiting time perception was the comfort of the waiting room.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the complexities effect of servant leadership and employee performance and the moderating role of organizational citizenship behaviors (OCB) on the relationship between servant leadership and employee performance. Servant leadership measured using empowerment, love, humility, trust, and vision. This Study collected data from 154 respondents using questionnaire method. The analysis tool in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using generalized structured component analysis (GeSCA). From the results of model testing is known that the required goodness of fit test value is FIT, AFIT, GFI, SRMR, and NPAR with using GeSCA. Based on the results of hypothesis testing are known: there is a positive influence on the servant leadership to the employee performance. OCBstrengthen the role of the relationship between servant leadership for employee performance. Suggestions for future research is to develop research by adding indicators or adding other variables on other organization with different characteristic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify development strategy of the agricultural sector for supportthe economic activities in border areas of West Kalimantan. The research location in Badau District with consideration of the first line border area in Kapuas Hulu andas a national strategic activity area. Research data is sourced from primary data and secondary data. Primary data include internal and external variables affecting agricultural activities in the border area of Kapuas Hulu Regency. Data analysis using SWOT and QSPM. The SWOT analysis shows that the development of border agricultural sector in Badau District is in the area of V (concentration strategy by applying horizontal integration or stability) meaning that the development of the agricultural sector in the border area of West Kalimantan should be concentrated on utilizing the strength and growth opportunities of the region. The QSPM analysis concludes that the first strategic priority is the empowerment of farmers in the application of technology in cultivation, harvest, and postharvest activities.

Abstract

This study aimed at explaining the strategies of success in running family-owned enterprise to enable the next generation to develop the company which had been established by previous generations. This was a qualitative research with a case study approach conducted on military equipment business inTulungagung Regency. The results of this study indicated that the strategies of success in family-owned companies were through the process of selection of candidates for the next generation of the company and handing over all power to the elected candidates. Conflicts emerged inside the process of selection or determination of business leaders but through meetings orde liberation with all members of the second generation and produced an agreement that three of the six children of the family went into the organizational structure to manage the business. While the other three children set up their own business, however, the three children were still related to the development of family companies.

Abstract

PT. XYZ Indonesia is a holding company with a collection of thebusiness unit that has a primary focus on education. One of their business units is XYZthat is an education consultant or tutoring agency. The main problem faced by XYZ is their target revenue in 2017 has not been reached or only 70% realization of total target revenue. In this research, use strategic management process to formulate appropriate strategies for XYZin order to achieve their target. Primary and secondary data collection techniques consisting of aquestionnaire, interview, research internet, document review, and company report. This research results in 9 strategies to increase their sales and market shares including corporate, business, and functional level strategy. The implementation plan of the new proposed strategies implemented by its priority to solve the issues. Suggestion for subsequent research was to add other tools in the environmental scanning and strategy formulation phase to deepen the analysis result. Also can use another performance management framework to evaluate the strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of organizational climate on work motivation on government employees at Gorontalo Regional Finance Agency. The population and samples used in this study were 86 people taken at random and then the data obtained from the sample were analyzed by using simple regression analysis technique. The results of the analysis show that the organizational climate does not affect the work motivation of civil servants. Of the many factors that can influence work motivation, the organizational climate has no contribution to that influence.
